I repaired this a little while ago, thought you guys might like to have a look at the internals. Note: the unit still had the protective plastic over the front panel.
The Serial Number decoder claims this pedal was built in April of 1986...
Nice!
I'm guessing here, but maybe they were using the old Roland numbering system for some reason - which would place it at the end of '77. Here's the Roland system:
Damaged Boss BF-3, without enclosure serial number, only main board. More info about this PCB you can see at my another topic about BF-3.
Thanks Laurie and Dr.Bob! Earlier I can't upload images, because they are too much size. (can you tell me what is the max. size of image to upload on my bossarea account?)
Adding the Rockson OD-10 - Direct clone of the BOSS SD-1.
This one has been modded to Keeley 5-star with a couple of other tweaks. I installed sockets so that changing components for experimenting is a bit easier.
does any one own an old DOD performer 585a analog delay?
I need to see a picture inside of how the battery/power adapter wires into the board and input/outputs. I have a 585a thats missing the battery compartment and wirering for the batteries and jack.
I have the scematic and tried to make the connections (two 9 volt batteries in series, one side tied to the red wire of the power adapter, the other side to the output). this drained the batteries and I couldn't get the effect to power up.
Ibanez TS-9 "Tube Screamer" black label S/N 122251 - MIJ 1981 (1st year of production)
The pedal works perfectly on a DC adaptor, however the battery plug has broken wires and needs a little TLC... otherwise it's in quite good condition considering its age. This is one of the rarer JRC2043 IC versions (apparently not as good as the other IC used in '81 )....
